Nice assortment of manuals and other books of interest.
Nice assortment of manuals and other books of interest.
Mainly pdf. files.
People who actually want to survive, TEOTWAWKI, do not
use firearms.

Because when you shoot a gun, it is the same thing
as putting up a big, illuminated billboard that
says:

"HERE I AM. COME AND GET ME. I HAVE GUNS AND AMMO
AND A NICE JUICY DEER AND ALL SORTS OF COOL STUFF. YOU
CAN SNEAK UP ON ME AND SHOOT ME IN THE BACK FROM COVER
AND TAKE EVERYTHING I HAVE."

When you see someone who is presenting themself as an expert on
survivalism, and guns are anywhere near the top of their list of
survival tools, you are seeing an idiot.

Given the current ratio of people to food animals, there
basically won't be anything bigger than a mouse left,
six months after this civilization collapses, wild,
feral, or domestic.

These gun-toting clowns all think that when the Collapse comes
that they are going to be transported back a couple of hundred
years when hunting for a living was a realistic option.

Take a look, also, at the ratio of people to lands that will
support real homesteaders who have to make their living off
that land.

Know how much land a family making a living from hunting needs?

Gunfights over hunting and grazing rights will be the
leading post-Collapse cause of death.

Leave these fools to play with their steel penises and learn
how to garden and gather. There are over 2000 know species
of wild edible plants in the western U.S., and you can grow
enough food to survive on 1/20th of an acre.

If they are smart by Primitive Weapons... The Fact is your
NOT going to have 100 years of Ammo stored in your bug out
retreat.

You need to remember a bullet is a SINGLE use item. Once
used it's gone. You're NOT going to have the local Gun Store
around when TSHTF... IOW once your ammo's gone your dead.

THe smart thing would be buy a good bow & learn to make your
own Arrows & Arrowheads... These can be made from Bone, Rock,
or even empty Cans.

Hey Gunner, If ya read this give it a shot & try making arrow
heads from cans & report how it worked?

Save the Ammo for protection...

Cans make lousy arrow heads. Dimes work far better. A bit of
sharpening on a concrete sidewalk and voila...

If you have a supply of powder and primers, the above listed

fine), and resize and reload your brass conservatively, you should be
able to shoot indefinitely.

you can only shoot til your supply runs out. That means conservation
of shots, no practicing, and later missed shots.
Mind as long as I can find flints andmake sodium nitrate from urine

Of course they are not the "end all and be all" No one has claimed
they were. Got cites to the contrary?

On the other hand..a dashpot lifter or even a good sharp knife is not
either. All of them are just tools. Some tools are more appropriate
for some tasks then others.

Ever try to drive a railroad spike with a tack hammer? Or shave with
a broadsword?

You are a hoplophobe, so it tends to not only color your outlook, but
turn you into a complete yutz when the topic of firearms comes up.

And Im still a bit baffled about your insistance on making arrow heads
out of cans. You blithered on about melting them down, and casting
new heads. A cold chisel, a hammer or rock, and about 15 minutes and
you can make arrow heads out of an old car, an electrical panel, a
bicycle, etc etc. With far less effort than trying to melt down
materials that have a melting point of 2500 F.

Hence my comment about making arrow heads out of dimes. Fast and
easy. Quarters work ok as well.

However I would prefer to have a gun, even a lowley .22 rimfire in a
suvival situation. In some areas of Canada when you step out into the
woods you step into the food chain. A rifle does move you up several
notches. And when you run out of ammo you can always beat the barrel
out into spearpoints...

The plains Indian depended on stampeding herds of meat over cliffs by
foot chase or wild fire, as their simple bows and lances were
generally incapable of reaching out and killing meat in the big empty
spaces.

It wasnt until they got the horse that they could get close enough to
make "hunting" doable in any practical regularity.

If I lived in say..Northern Michigan, then Id be well armed with a
bow. But its damned hard to take an antelope with one, without baiting
or ambush at a stock tank. Hence..a firearm to gather meat is of far
more practicality than a bow.

Ever been in the West? Ever stand in the middle of an open space,
and see the curvature of the earth? You can out here in some places.
When I travel just outside my city limits, I can see the Southern
Sierras, 120 miles away. Thats my distant horizon.

Reference...is sometime impossible until you actually been there, done
that.

Not that I can recall. But I've been out in the areas where "nearby"
means you pass a driveway not less than 15-20 minutes apart - at highway
speeds. (My Dad tells me "Should have seen this before it was all built

Given the current ratio of people to food animals, there
basically won't be anything bigger than a mouse left,
six months after this civilization collapses, wild,
feral, or domestic.
Uh ...... they're going to take these animals.... How?
The point is, that they aren't going to be taking them
by _any_ means for very long.

But since you are obviously satisfied with living for
only about 6 months after the Collapse, then go ahead and
rely on hunting with guns for your food and stuff.

Errr....Make that less than 6 months. Because a lot of
people are going to hear your gunshot(s) and, being
gun-toting latent bandits like you, are going to come
and take what you have away from you.

Yes, I know. You are faster and more accurate and cleverer
than anyone else on the planet and can easily shoot them
down in a jif while the Little Woman watches you with love
and awe on her face.

But then, that gunfight will attract even more people and...

Anyway. Have a horrible, fear-filled and short life after
the Collapse, Kowboy Klown.

And good job there for taking your woman and children along
for the ride.

Because when you shoot a gun, it is the same thing
as putting up a big, illuminated billboard that
"HERE I AM. COME AND GET ME. I HAVE GUNS AND AMMO
AND A NICE JUICY DEER AND ALL SORTS OF COOL STUFF. YOU
CAN SNEAK UP ON ME AND SHOOT ME IN THE BACK FROM COVER
AND TAKE EVERYTHING I HAVE."
DAMN YOU SHIT HEAD How dare you post something I AGREE with...
I FORBID you to EVER post ANYTHING I would EVER agree with
again!!!!!

Look at the gibbering idiots!

You folks make me look really good.

Thanks.

I'm always saying that guns are for fools.

Does anyone need any further supporting evidence?

An incompetent human being with a gun is still incompetent.
Fortunately, only incompetent human beings HAVE guns.
